Better question still looking for an answer to is - Is there a party which performed relatively worse between elections as the Socialist Labour Party in 2005 General Election and at the By Election in 2009?
In 2005 they got 4,036 votes In 2009 they got 47 votes
Or a 98.8% drop in their vote (being generous and rounding in a nice way).
Possibly yes. Are you taking bets?

ReplyDeleteP2000 - good point, pedantically made.
ReplyDeleteSR - I don't gamble in the normal run of things, but I reckon that it must be close to a one-off.
